PIZZAPIZZA was born from a passionate vision to create an authentic Italian pizza experience infused with Canadian creativity and ingredients. Our journey began in 2008 when our founder, Isabella Romano, returned from studying traditional pizza-making in Naples with a dream to revolutionize the Canadian pizza scene.
Having trained under master pizzaiolos in Italy's most revered pizzerias, Isabella was determined to bring the authentic techniques and uncompromising quality of Neapolitan pizza to Canada, while embracing local ingredients and contemporary culinary innovation. Starting with a small pizzeria in downtown Toronto featuring a single wood-fired oven, PIZZAPIZZA quickly developed a devoted following of pizza enthusiasts who appreciated our commitment to artisanal methods.
As word spread about our unique approach to pizza—blending traditional Italian techniques with Canadian influences—we expanded across the country, but never compromised on our founding principles. Each PIZZAPIZZA location features custom-built wood-fired ovens, handcrafted by third-generation Neapolitan artisans, ensuring the perfect balance of heat that creates our signature light, airy crust with the perfect char.
Today, we continue to honor our roots while constantly exploring new flavors and techniques. Our dough undergoes a 72-hour fermentation process, developing complex flavors and the perfect texture. We source the finest ingredients from both Italian producers and local Canadian farms, creating a harmonious fusion that represents the best of both worlds. Every pizza is handcrafted with precision, passion, and respect for tradition, reflecting our unwavering commitment to quality and authenticity.
